What happens if I miss the IPU CET registration deadline?
If you miss the IPU CET 2026 March 31 deadline, your chances at regular admission to Trinity Institute of Professional Studies will be limited. But GGSIPU may use CUET (UG) scores to fill any remaining vacant seats after the CET counseling rounds are completed. If you have taken CUET for the relevant subjects, you can apply for the university's "spot counseling" rounds which are usually scheduled for late July/August.
Can I apply for BCA without having Mathematics in 12th?
To be eligible for the BCA program at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, you generally need to have passed your 12th grade with at least 50% marks. A key requirement is having studied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical subject. If you did not have these, you might still be eligible if you have a three-year diploma in a branch of engineering that is officially recognized by the AICTE.
Is there any negative marking in the IPU CET exam?
Yes, there is a marking scheme in the entrance exam of Trinity Institute of Professional Studies. For each correct answer 4 marks are awarded and for each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted so you cannot afford to blindly guess in the exam. Trinity Institute of Professional Studies Cut-off FAQs

Does TIPS offer "Direct Admission" if I don't meet the cut-off?
Official admission only through IPU CET (CLAT for Law). A very few seats (10%) are usually available in Management Quota. Admission through this quota is on 12th marks (minimum 55% aggregate) and appearing in the relevant entrance examination. You need to approach the institute immediately after results are out because these seats are very fast filling.
Does TIPS Dwarka accept CUET scores if I miss the IPU CET?
Yes, only as a back up. The priority will be given only to the IPU CET rank holders. If there is any vacant seat after rounds of IPU CET counseling (including Spot rounds), then IPU goes to CUET scores. But with TIPS being such a popular college, gap will be very less in CET rounds seats, so it's not worth the risk.

Trinity Institute of Professional Studies FAQs

Does the college conduct its own entrance test for Law?

No. There is no separate entrance test for BA LLB course in Trinity Institute of Professional Studies. Admission depends only on CLAT UG. You must go in GGSIPU online counselling through your CLAT rank. In case of any vacant seats after CLAT merit list is exhausted, the university may take into account other national-level entrance exams and CUET as per the official 2026 policy.

Are there separate application fees for different course shifts?

No, you do not need to pay a separate fee for the morning and evening shifts at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies. When you register on the GGSIPU portal and pay the standard registration fee of Rs 2,500, you are applying for the course as a whole. During the "Choice Filling" stage of the online counseling, you can list the morning shift and evening shift of TIPS as your separate preferences based on your rank.

Do I need to carry original documents for counseling?

Yes. You should bring all original documents for final physical reporting and document verification at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies. These include 10th and 12th mark sheet, Admit card, Rank card and all other category certificates. The college staff will verify them against the photocopy you submit. After verifying, they will return the original documents but some certificates like original Medical certificate and original Character Certificate will remain with them.

What percentage of students get placed every year?

Trinity Institute of Professional Studies has a good placement record in the past years ranging from 75% to 85% for eligible students who have registered with our placement cell. Many students do not opt for placements and directly pursue higher studies like MBA, LLM etc. We also guide these students as we believe every student should have a clear vision of the future after graduation. We guide our students with Career Counseling and Entrance Exam Guidance.

Are internships at TIPS Dwarka paid or unpaid?

At Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, there are paid and unpaid internships. Corporate partners such as Kotak Mahindra & Lenskart usually offer stipends between Rs 5,000 and Rs 15,000 per month. Internships in the newsroom of big media houses may be unpaid for media students but are priceless to build portfolios and industry exposure. The placement cell keeps a record of such opportunities for students to choose what suits them best.

How does the "A" grade from NAAC help in placements?

NAAC 'A' Grade is the hallmark of quality and makes Trinity Institute of Professional Studies a preferred choice for most of the high quality recruiters. Multinational companies prefer to hire from accredited colleges as they are assured about the infrastructure and faculty. The accreditation also helps the placement cell in establishing trust with new corporate partners. Every year, we have new 'A-list' companies visiting campus to recruit fresh talent from Trinity Institute of Professional Studies.

What is the "Spot Round" and how does it affect the cut-off?

The Spot Round is the last of the "sliding" counseling rounds. Ranks tend to fall a lot because the earlier Rounds might have moved to DU/other universities after securing seats. If you are a few thousand ranks away from the Round 3 cut-off, the Spot Round is your last chance to make it into TIPS.

Is the Law program (BA LLB) ranked separately?

TIPS, Dwarka is a "Category A" legal academy listed by GGSIPU and accredited by Bar Council of India (BCI). It often appears as the top preference for Law by students because of its active Moot Court society and is situated close to the Dwarka District Courts and Delhi High Court. The exact rank of TIPS’ Law department is still being compiled.

Is there high-speed Wi-Fi available for all students?

The entire campus of Trinity Institute of Professional Studies is a Wi-Fi-enabled zone. Once students are registered, they can access high-speed internet on their laptops or mobile devices throughout the building, including the library, labs, and common areas. This connectivity is crucial for students to access the college's ERP system, download study materials, and conduct online research for their assignments and projects, ensuring they are always connected to the digital world.

What kind of auditorium does TIPS Dwarka have?

The college has a multi-purpose, air conditioned auditorium and seminar rooms to hold events. Advanced audio-visual equipment including projectors and high-end sound systems are available for use. Guest lectures by industry leaders and academic seminars and cultural shows are held in these rooms. These are professional platforms for students to perform and interact with industry leaders and fraternity leaders in “Eminent Lecture Series”.

Does the college honor its academic toppers with medals?

Each year, at the annual Convocation Ceremony, Trinity Institute of Professional Studies presents Gold Medals to the top 10 of each department. This year again ten eminent gold medals were conferred upon students for their exemplary performance in BBA, BCA and BJMC courses. The tradition of awarding gold medals does well in keeping a fighting spirit and also acknowledges the efforts of the students during their undergraduate courses.

What is the Merit-cum-Means Financial Assistance Scheme at TIPS?

This is a huge programme by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi for students of Trinity Institute of Professional Studies! This is a tiered tuition fee reimbursement by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi with 100% reimbursement for students in National Food Security Scheme, 50% for family income up to 2.5 Lakh per annum and 25% for 2.5 to 6 Lakh per annum. Faculty should have minimum 60% in qualifying exam. This will a huge relief for meritorious students of low economic background.

Can students apply for multiple scholarships at the same time?

It is basic policy that a student of Trinity Institute of Professional Studies may only receive one scholarship category at a time and that scholarship category must be the most beneficial one to the student. Any government assistance in the form of financial aid is normally subtracted from any recommended institutional aid. This policy is in place to allow us to maximize the number of college students that receive scholarships.

Can a student lose their scholarship during the course?

Maintaining a scholarship usually requires consistent academic performance. Most schemes at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies require the student to have no backlogs (failures) in any subject and to maintain a minimum attendance of 75%. If a student fails a semester or has a disciplinary issue, they may lose their eligibility for future installments or renewals. This ensures that the financial aid is continuously supporting students who are serious about their professional growth.
